Dear Adobe (and others like them),
The technology for transparency exists! I'm pretty sure your programmers can figure out a way to allow for images designed for the web to have some form semi-transparency and the ability to be animated. Gifs are good but the only real reason is that you can animate them... It makes no sense for gifs to still be the only images on the internet you can animate. I know you're going to say, "Just use Flash" but that is an entirely different monster. Our PCs and internet are fast enough to allow for bigger file types. Give us the omni-file type that gives us all the things we love about Gifs and all the things w
